Lanson Extra Age Blanc de Blancs is a blend of Chardonnay wines from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards (Avize, Cramant, Oiry, Oger, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger) and is a blend of three vintages 2003, 2004 and 2005. The blended is then cellar aged for a minimum of eight years.

‘Extra Age’ was launched to celebrate Lanson’s 250th Anniversary. It is traditionally made without malolactic fermentation, blends vintage champagnes and wines from Grand and Premiers Crus, and is then cellar aged a minimum of five years.

Appearance:

Clear, pale golden.

Aroma:

Meringue and pear with white petal floral notes and delicate lemon zest.

Taste:

Good acidity and freshness with grassy salt/brine, buttery chardonnay and chalky minerality.

Aftertaste:

Good minerality and citrus freshness with lingering fruit.
