Ireland (Eire)
Carolans (without apostrophe) is made with honey and fresh Irish cream. In the UK, Carolans is wine based, while the product made for sales in other markets is based on "fine Irish spirits and Irish whiskey". Apparently UK consumers like the distinctive taste of the wine-based product."
Carolans is the second biggest brand of Irish cream liqueur behind Baileys and is also available in a light version (with half the fat and one-third less calories) and a coffee cream version launched in 1994.
Launched in 1978
