A limited edition bottling only available at the Isle of Jura Distillery. This 1996 vintage was chosen by friends of Jura and just 493 bottles were created from a cask. It is aged first in American White Oak and then finished in French Limousin oak.

Appearance:

Clear (slight haze with addition of water), burnished copper.

Aroma:

Crystallised ginger, linseed oil and gluey nose with warm Christmas spice and slight phosphorus.

Taste:

(hydrated to approx. 40% alc./vol.) Salty, smoked seaweed palate with ginger and nutmeg spice, dry oak, and brazil nut.

Aftertaste:

Spicy, lightly smoked nutty finish.
