Review and Tasting

Sampled on 06/07/2011

Appearance:

Clear, bright golden honey.

Aroma:

A mellow but enticing buttery malty nose with floral honeysuckle, dried banana chips and a whiff of mint humbug sweets.

Taste:

Buttery, malty palate with grapy wine notes apparent but well integrated with soft red pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Grapey, pepper corn spiced finish with fresh coriander leaves and lingering buttery malt. This will appeal to fellow lovers of wine cask finishing but perhaps would have benefitted from a couple of years less bourbon oak.
