This semi-sweet liqueur is flavoured with saffron and 19 other herbs, roots, berries and resins. Villacidro Giallo's bright yellow colour comes from the use of Tartrazine (E102) and Quinoline yellow (E104).

Sardina’s most famous liqueur, Villacidro Murgia Giallo was first advertised in 1889 in the Unione Sarda newspaper.

Appearance:

Clear, bright yellow with heavy sedimentation.

Aroma:

Pungent liquorice, anise, saffron and pine with herbal and spice complexity.

Taste:

Intense pine, anise and saffron with light spice and underlying herbs. Notes reminiscent of Galliano L’Authentico.

Aftertaste:

Lingering anise and saffron.
