A West Coast style IPA brewed in Boston with American Cascade, Simcoe, Chinook, Centennial and Amarillo hops, with Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend and Caramel 60 malts using Samuel Adams ale yeast. IBUs 45
Sampled on 04/07/2015
(sample best before end Mar/16) Slight haze, golden amber with retentive, moderately thick creamy white head and good lacing.
Yeasty and malty with aromatic citrus and grassy hops.
Dry and fairly bitter with caramel yeasty maltiness, pine and citrusy hop flavours.
Caramel malt with lingering grassy hop bitterness and faint salty notes.
Don’t be put off by the mainstream branding, this is a good full-bodied IPA with complex bitter hop character but also overly heavy caramel sweetness.
