Kinahan’s Irish Whiskey was founded on Trinity Street in Dublin in 1779 and the Lord Lieutenant of Ireland subsequently ordered several casks of Kinahan’s, each being marked with an “L.L.” to identify the owner.

The whiskey received its first royal warrant in 1845 and was one of the first brands to be trademarked. Due to the sharp decline in Irish whiskey sales experienced in early 20th century, the Kinahan family stopped producing whiskey. However, in 2014, Kinahan’s LL Irish Whiskey was relaunched on Trinity Street

Kinahan’s 10 year old single malt Irish whiskey is matured exclusively in ex-bourbon barrels for a minimum of 10 years in Ireland and is bottled without the use of chill-filtration.
