A Croatian plum brandy (slivovitz) developed with Frankfurt bartender Branimir Hrkac, a descendant of Croatian immigrants.

Tesla Šljivo is named after Nikola Tesla, a Serbian born American physicist, inventor and electrical engineer who is best remembered for his work on the development of alternating current (AC) current. The SI unit of magnetic flux density is also named tesla in his honour.

Appearance:

Clear, transparent.

Aroma:

Pungent, ripe plums and aromatic peach and cherry with white pepper, hairspray and white wine vinegar.

Taste:

Pronounced peppery spirity spice and ripe plums with faint vanilla, white wine, nutmeg and cinnamon. Slightly oily with faint floral notes.

Aftertaste:

Long, white wine, plum and peppery spice.

Overall:

Punchy alcohol spice – reminiscent of old-school grappa, with good plum notes.
