So named due to the use of six full-leaf fresh vacuum-packed hops from the Yakima Valley in Washington State on America’s west coast being married with British East Coast maritime malted barley to create a Scottish brewed American-style pale ale.
Centennial, Columbus, Simcoe and Cascade hops provide the underlying hop character, along with two additional hops which Caledonian claim they have pioneered as a UK first. Coast to Coast was the first beer to be developed in Caledonian’s pilot brewery, named Wee George in memory of George Lorimer, the tea merchant who established the brewery in 1869.
