Review and Tasting

Sampled on 08/03/2016

Appearance

Clear, yellow-green.

Aroma

Herbal, grassy wormwood with gentian, lemon balm, anise, orange, mint, oregano and white pepper spice.

Taste

Bittersweet with pronounced wormwood. Grassy, sweet white grapes, gentian bitterness, oregano, sage and zesty citrus.

Aftertaste

Long lingering wormwood and gentian bitterness with white grapes and herbal complexity.

Overall

To be termed a ‘vermouth’ requires a product to contain some wormwood. As this vermouth’s name suggests it contains generous quantities of Artemisia absinthium and so has pronounced bitterness.
