Clear, pale golden amber.
Quite closed with cut grass, pencil shavings, cinnamon and light clove. However, a dash of water reveals pungent pear drops, pear skin and faint almond oil. Very faint smokiness.
Barley water, pencil shavings, cinnamon and white pepper spice mask underlying pear fruitiness. Water make flavours harmonious with more fruit, faint aniseed and orange emerging.
Liquorice emerges in the long finish with subtle aniseed and clove spice.
Light-bodied yet with a woody chewiness. A dash of water is essential to reveal this malt’s pleasing pear fruitiness, otherwise overshadowed by oak and mild spice.
