Review and Tasting

Sampled on 19/12/2016

Appearance:

Clear, deep coppery amber.

Aroma:

Sherry, new leather, vanilla, golden syrup, biscuity malt, peanut butter and lightly cinnamon spiced oak. More sherry and vinous oak with water.

Taste:

Rich sherry, cinnamon and black pepper spiced oak. Adding water dries this malt, revealing buttery chocolate cookie dough.

Aftertaste:

Rich sherry continues dried by oak tannins, hazelnut and enlivening cinnamon and black pepper spice. If water has been added, then the finish has more chocolaty cookie dough.

Overall:

Rich and sherried with attractive biscuity malt/ buttery chocolate cookie dough. Warming cinnamon and white pepper spice. Best enjoyed neat.
