Appearance:

(sample bottle BB 01/Nov/17) Opaque, deep brown/black with thin but retentive beige head and good lacing.

Aroma:

Coal dust, toasted malts, coffee and dark chocolate. Faint smoky meat.

Taste:

Mocha coffee, charcoal, bitter grassy hops, mocha coffee and liquorice.

Aftertaste:

Charred malt, bitter hops and light spice.

Overall:

Heavily toasted with charcoal-like flavours, mocha coffee and dark chocolate.
