Appearance:

(sample bottle BB 28/Feb/18) Clear, deep amber with thin but retentive off-white head and little in the way of lacing.

Aroma:

Roast chestnut, dried fruit and caramel with cocoa powder.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied with moderate carbonation. Nutty caramel, grassy hops. Dry – toasty maltiness.

Aftertaste:

Nutty toasty malt finish.

Overall:

This brown ale is better than the name and label might suggest. Nutty caramel, grassy hops and toasty malt.
