Review and Tasting

Sampled on 17/01/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle best before Dec/26) Clear, deep mahogany brown amber with a thin quickly diminishing off-white head.

Aroma:

Caramel, raisins, ripe plum and English breakfast black tea.

Taste:

Full-bodied. Brown bread, caramel, raisin and stewed plum with grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Caramel, fudge and brown bread with light cinnamon and nutmeg spice.

Overall:

Rich, huge and fruity but beautifully balanced. Great drinking as a new beer but also a beer that should be cellared and appreciated in years to come.
