Review and Tasting

Sampled on 10/06/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle BBE Aug 18) Slight chill haze, deep orange amber with a thin quickly diminishing off-white head and light lacing.

Aroma:

Pine, citrus and toffee with faint biscuit and cut grass.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied. Spicy, resinous and bitter, with zesty orange and wholemeal breadiness.

Aftertaste:

Dry, moderately bitter and lightly spiced.

Overall:

Brawny hop bitterness with light spicy notes characterise this English hopped IPA which has an attractive bready maltyness but perhaps is a tad overly hopped.
