Chelsea Flower Gin contains 19 botanicals including rose petals, marigold, verbena, cassia bark and juniper. The use of rose commemorates the historic association between flowers and nurseries and London’s Kings Road where the grocers who instigated the creation of this gin are located.

Distilled by Martin Murray of Dunnet Bay Distillery for Partridges, the London grocers who were granted a Royal Warrant by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth in 1994.

Each limited edition bottle is hand-filled, numbered by hand and wax sealed.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 12/06/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle vintage 2017, batch 1, bottle No. 317) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Rose petal and other floral notes interact with piney juniper and peppery spice.

Taste:

Sweet floral notes appear to soften an otherwise classically styled London dry gin.

Aftertaste:

Delicate floral notes continue through dry piney and spicy finish.

Overall:

Rose and other floral notes on this gin are obvious but subtle – it is a London dry with a delicate floral note rather than being a rose flavoured gin.
