Glen Deveron is one of the few Scottish single malts to be sold under a different name from its distillery. Even more confusingly the actual distillery name, ‘MacDuff’, is used by independent bottlers while official bottlings are under the Glen Deveron brand.

Sampled on 19/11/2012

Appearance:

Clear, mid golden amber.

Aroma:

Forest floor with freshly fallen leaves, lemon barley water and floral notes with sawdust, scratched green pear skin, faint pecan pie and floor wax.

Taste:

Toasted malty cereal, peanut brittle and subtle woody peat.

Aftertaste:

Short cereal finish with some lingering peppermint and spice.
