A 1996 vintage limited release of 6,000 bottles from 20 casks: 13 ex-Bourbon and 7 ex-sherry hogsheads. Albert, the peacock featured on the packaging lives at the distillery but made a timely break for freedom and his whereabouts were unknown at the time of the whisky's release in September 2009.

Review and Tasting


Sampled before 1st May 2011

Aroma:

Green apple skin/cider and pear drops.

Taste:

Comparatively light palate with notes of aged cider, sweet buttery oak, honey, cinnamon spice, vanillin and lemon zest.

Aftertaste:

Quite short and clean with a cleansing hint of spice.
