Review and Tasting
Sampled on 17/09/2018
Appearance:
Crystal clear.
Aroma:
Nutty pine, nose tingling black pepper and nutmeg spice with eucalyptus, zesty citrus, and floral aromas – particularly violet petal. Some asparagus-like aromas.
Taste:
Dry and clean. Piney black pepper spiced juniper softened by sweet grassy asparagus, with violet, hibiscus and lavender, nutty rootyness and zesty citrus.
Aftertaste:
Juniper is more pronounced on the bone dry, nutty, grassy and spicy finish.
Overall:
A truly artisanally-made classically grounded, appropriately juniper flavoured, gin, but with much more – particularly nutty, floral and spicy notes.
