Review and Tasting

Sampled on 08/01/2019

Appearance:

Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Floral (centifolia and jasmine) with very subdued juniper and musky almost lichen-like aromas.

Taste:

Floral and citrusy with woody/nutty angelica notes and more piney juniper than the nose might suggest (or is this Cade, which we are told adds “adds woody, piny facets”. Assertive spirituous peppery spice.

Aftertaste:

Red and black pepper corn spice masks lingering floral, almost soapy notes.

Overall:

There’s something reminiscent of granny’s soap about this gin but its floral, perfume-like notes are subdued by assertive peppery spice.
