Alexandre Mazza started distilling this Brazilian gin in 2016 at what is said to be the country's first dedicated gin distillery. Amázzoni Gin is distilled with 11 botanicals, including five Amazonian botanicals.
International botanicals: juniper berries, pink pepper (Aroeira Schinus terebinthifolius), bay leaf, lemon, tangerine and coriander.
Amazonian botanicals: cocoa, Brazil nut, maxixe (Cucumis anguria), lily (Victoria regia), and Cipó-cravo (Tynanthus elegans).

Crystal clear.
Citrus zest (lemon and orange) with light nutty pine, coriander and black pepper.
Citrusy notes are to the fore, supported by piney juniper, nutty notes, coriander spice and light herbal flavours.
Nutty notes continue into the lightly spicy more assertively juniper finish.
From the rustic heavy glass bottle through to the liquid inside, this gin is proudly Brazilian, but it is also not so far removed from a classic London dry gin.
