The fresh juice of Hungarian Irsai Oliver grapes are slow fermented in temperature-controlled tanks and the wine produced then distilled in a hybrid copper pot still. The distillate is then rested for three months prior to bottling.

Wonderfully aromatic with fresh grape and almost floral pear-like aromas.
Fresh grape flavours are captured in a very clean spirit with pear fruitiness continuing from the nose. Mild but assertive peppery spirituous spice.
Long finish with lingering fresh grapes and pear skin notes.
Pálinka is a category of eaux-de-vie that is sadly little seen outside its domestic Hungary and Barka is an example of why it deserves a wider audience. Barka captures the very aromatic qualities that the Irsai Olivér Grape is known for with fresh grape and pear skin-like notes.
