Review and Tasting

Sampled on 30/10/2019

Appearance:

(sample bottle Batch #01). Clear, golden amber.

Aroma:

Pencil shavings, nutmeg, vanilla, honey and clove with pineapple, stewed apple and raisins.

Taste:

Dry charred oak, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla fudge and caramel with raisin, fig, dried pineapple, aniseed, citrus and chocolate.

Aftertaste:

Long, dry, heavily oak influenced finish with more Christmassy spice and dried fruits.

Overall:

A relatively young whiskey with a maturity beyond its years in cask produce a whisky with upfront toasted oak, cinnamon and clove spice overwhelming dried, citrus and tropical fruit.
