Havana Club Professional Edition C is "a rich and raw gold rum" blended from young aromatic aguardiente with older rum bases aged in San José distillery's ageing warehouses. The blend was "matured for up to 12 years in large white oak barrels that are up to 40 years old".

Released in October 2019, this is one of two new rums (see also Edition D) in Havana Club's Professional Edition series produced by Cuban Maestro del Ron Cabano, Asbel Morales in collaboration with leading bartenders, Carina Soto Velasquez and Alex Kratena.

Appearance:

Clear, mid-golden amber.

Aroma:

Vanilla fudge, dry French vermouth, white floral honey, ripe peach, toasty oak, white pepper and cinnamon spice with faint apple pie.

Taste:

More vanilla fudge, tonka bean, dry vermouth and toasty oak with black pepper and nutmeg spice.

Aftertaste:

Vanilla, dry vermouth and tonka bean with black pepper and nutmeg. Slight chilli spice.

Overall:

Very aromatic and characterful with young aguardiente adding dry vermouth-like notes while older rums in the blend contribute attractive vanilla fudge, tonka bean and toasty oak.
