The first variant released from Lesley Gracie's Cabinet of Curiosities, the brands press release says, "Midsummer Solstice is inspired by the mysterious and ephemeral delights of floral blooms during when the Earth is tilted maximally toward the sun, peaking the abundant aromas of flowers in full bloom."
Review and Tasting
Sampled on 14/11/2019
Appearance:
Crystal clear.
Aroma:
A veritable potpourri with parma violets, rose and orange blossom. Piney juniper is subdued with generous orris root contributing black tea aromas.
Taste:
Dry and very floral with piney juniper vying for attention with rose and orange.
Aftertaste:
Floral orange and juniper finish.
Overall:
Floral and yet not one-dimensional while retaining enough juniper character to be firmly considered a genuine gin.
