This gluten-free larger joined Brick Brewery's core "Foundation Range" in January 2020. It's brewed with German Pilsner malt using enzymes to remove the gluten (instead of brewing with non-traditional grains such as sorghum or maize.)
Sampled on 10/02/2020
Clear, bright golden with white head.
White bread crust with fruity yeast esters.
Light to medium-bodied. Clean and crisp with moderate bitterness and, as its brewers say, "with light, fruity yeast esters and herbal spice."
Clean finish with attractive lingering maltiness.
Peckham is a much-gentrified part of South London and with this gentrification has obviously come a demand for a gluten-free lager. A demand brilliantly satisfied by the local brewery with this flavoursome Helles.
