Described by its brewers as "A sparkling lager unlike no other. Made with Spanish wine grapes then fermented and conditioned over time to produce a crisp, light alternative to sparkling wine."

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 11/11/2020

Appearance:

Hazy, deep amber with a retentive white head.

Aroma:

Green grapes, digestive biscuit, and crusty croissant.

Taste:

Light to medium-bodied. Initial ripe grape sweetness and patisserie are quickly dried as alcohol and mild hope bitterness prevail.

Aftertaste:

Biscuity finish with very mild hop bitterness.

Overall:

I love the Bresecco name and "The perfect wine alternative" marketing. And as the label suggests, "At 7% ABV it can be enjoyed by the glass with a meal or as an aperitif."
