First released in 2011 to celebrate 80 years of rum production on the island of Saint Lucia, Chairman's Reserve 1931 is a blend of pot and column-distilled rums drawn from the four different stills at St. Lucia Distillers.
The blend is mainly from molasses-based rums but there is also a small proportion of agricole-style rum made from estate-grown sugar cane.
The rums in the blend were aged separately in ex-bourbon barrels and ex-port pipes for between 6 and 15 years.
