This Venezuelan rum based liqueur is made at Distilerias Unidas, producers of Diplomatico and Cacique rum brands. Hacienda Saruro liqueur is based a full-bodied rum distilled from fermented molasses and aged in ex-bourbon barrels.

Review and Tasting

Appearance:

Clear, polished copper.

Aroma:

Muscavado sugar with spiced honey and a hint of oak.

Taste:

Just enough sweetness to balance the strength of the rum and accentuate the pot still flavours. Fruity notes emerge with vanilla and slightly spiced oak, all smoothed with a thick layer of rich honey.

Aftertaste:

The heat and power of the pot still rums is more obvious in the lasting finish.
