Launched in 2004 and packaged in a bright yellow bulbous bottle with a Rudolph nose-like round red stopper, Hamptons Banana is distilled from 100% yellow corn and flavoured with natural banana extracts. Its producers state that they do not add sugar, glucose, artificial sweeteners or preservatives.
According to the brand's website: "The bananas, picked at the peak of ripeness, are melded (not infused) with our vodka". We have not come across 'melded' before as a term used in vodka production but we assume it refers to a natural essence being extracted from the bananas by distillation and then used to flavour the vodka.

Clear, very pale straw green-yellow tinge.
Banana milkshake-like. Obviously banana but not a banana smell you would associate with fresh bananas - ether ripe or overripe.
Like the nose, the clean palate is banana flavoured, but while pleasant is more a banana flavour we associate with confectionary or milkshakes. That said, this is probably the banana flavour most people would want and expect from a banana-flavoured vodka, and that flavour is well balanced with grainy, peppery vodka notes.
Peanut butter, confected banana with pepper and cinnamon spice.
