Boord was founded in 1726 and was famous for its brand of Old Tom gin with its distinctive Cat & Barrel trademark. The company’s interests were acquired by Booth’s and Boord’s became an export gin, mainly to the USA, where it is still made and sold.

This famous old brand is now a London dry gin style, marketed at value not premium level. I assume Diageo, which now owns the brand, also has the rights to Boord’s Cat & Barrel trademark and implore them to look into the archives and resurrect some old brands.
