Kentish beer produced by a craft brewery is double distilled in a small copper pot still at a nearby craft distillery to produce a beer eau-de-vie, which we call BeVie®.

Pronounced 'bevy', a slang name for an alcoholic drink, particularly beer.

Serve neat and cold to accompany beer or as a cocktail ingredient. BeVie® is also great when floated on the surface of dark beer or stout, such as Guinness. Being a spirit, the translucent BeVie® floats on the surface of the black beer, so it is visually interesting and adds to the flavour of the beer when sipped through the spirit.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 01/08/2024

Appearance:

Crystal, clear.

Aroma:

Toasted barley and dry hay with mashed ripe banana, bamboo and linin box.

Taste:

Toasted barley, black tea leaves, gin-like pineyness, cedarwood and delicate overripe banana.

Aftertaste:

Black tea, barley and piney hops with mild peppery spiritious spice.

Overall:

This clear spirit captures the beer's hop and grain character, along with distinctive barley and black tea notes and piney notes from the hops.
