Launched in 2008, Atlantico is a blend of rums made by distilling fermented sugar cane juice and fermented molasses with some aguardiente. The rums are aged 1-2 years in ex-bourbon casks and then charcoal filtered prior to bottling. Latin music star Enrique Iglesias has a share in the brand.

Appearance:

(sample bottle No. B1-5462-BLAA) Crystal clear.

Aroma:

Subdued nose with charcoal, tobacco leaf and vanilla.

Taste:

Sweet creamy vanilla ice-cream, buttery toffee and toasted almond dried by cracked black pepper and bitter orange zest.

Aftertaste:

White pepper and vanilla pastry.
