This cask strength bottling is set apart from the standard 12 year old due to very small batches allowing for superior cask selection. Read more

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 26/09/2013

Appearance

Clear, golden amber.

Aroma

Pungent oily fruitcake/banana cake, vanilla fudge, hazelnut and cedarwood with red apple, dates and figs. Water brings out zesty lemon citrus.

Taste

Fruity with sweetness balancing strength. Citrusy spice, barley, liquorice, toffee, brazil nut and butterscotch with cracked black pepper. Well-balanced without water but how often do you want nearly 60% alc./vol. served neat?

Aftertaste

Long, fruity, spicy finish with lingering butterscotch and barley.
