Rhenania Alt dark beer is brewed according to the German Purity law of 1516 using heavily roasted malts and is lightly hopped to create a full-bodied beer with moderate bitterness.

Appearance:

Very dark brown, almost black with very thick beige head.

Aroma:

Malty caramel, toasted dark bread with burnt cacao and coffee.

Taste:

Malty, burnt, slightly bitter dark chocolate with faint heavily roasted coffee.

Aftertaste:

Slightly bitter, burnt chocolate and roasted coffee with charred toast.
