Appearance:

Very dark brown (almost opaque) with medium creamy tan head which quickly subsides leaving lacing.

Aroma:

Earthy, fruity nose with pumpernickel bread, stewed plum, faint tar/barbeque charcoal and molasses.

Taste:

Burnt, bitter flavours of Cascade hops, treacle, pine and cacao.

Aftertaste:

Chocolaty finish with lingering bitter roasted barley.
