Originally a seasonal release but now available year round, Monteith’s Summer Ale is brewed using Pilsner malt with Pacific Gem, Dr Rudi, Green Bullet and Pacifica New Zealand hops. It is flavoured with ginger and Rata honey.

Appearance:

(sample best before 26/Oct/14) Clear, deep coppery amber with thin white head and limited lacing.

Aroma:

Candied ginger, toast and honey.

Taste:

More reminiscent of a ginger beer than a summer ale.

Aftertaste:

Toasty ginger finish with notes of lime zest.
