Review and Tasting

Sampled on 08/04/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle best before 24/Jan/18) Clear, deep golden amber with thick retentive beige head leaving heavy lacing.

Aroma:

White bread maltiness with floral and citrussy hops.

Taste:

Citrussy and floral notes continue on the medium-bodied palate with brown bready caramel maltiness and assertive pine and grapefruit hop bitterness.

Aftertaste:

Lightly malty and floral with pronounced lingering pine hop bitterness.

Overall:

A good example of an IPA with enough grapefruit and pine hop bitterness, not to mention alcohol to justify the IPA moniker, but not overly so.
