Review and Tasting

Sampled on 15/04/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle best before 05/Jan/18) Hazy, deep amber with thin but retentive head and light spotted lacing.

Aroma:

Cut grass, zesty grapefruit, tropical fruit and pine resins with ripe apricot fruitiness.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied. Bitter lemon and grapefruit zests with pine resins and assertive spiciness, over brown bready maltiness.

Aftertaste:

Floral and citrussy finish.

Overall:

This “Oatmeal Pale Ale” may have something of an identity crisis, but it has the assertive hop character of a West Coast IPA.
