Review and Tasting

Sampled on 24/04/2017

Appearance:

(sample bottle best before 05/May/17) Faint haze, deep mahogany amber with thick off-white head and light lacing.

Aroma:

Brown bread, tinned raspberry, cherries, caramel, grass cuttings and black pepper.

Taste:

Medium to full-bodied. Sour citrus with dried raspberries, raisins, figs and grassy hops.

Aftertaste:

Dry fruity and grassy finish.

Overall:

This Greek red ale would possibly be better described as being a sour beer. So fruity that it’s hard to believe tinned raspberries weren’t part of the brew.
