Appearance:

(Sample bottle BB 07/Oct/17) Hazy, deep coppery amber with quickly diminishing head that fades to a thin ring of foam.

Aroma:

Caramel, yeasty bread dough and currant buns with clove spice and pine needles.

Taste:

Bittersweet, burnt raisins, clove spice, pine needles and spirity black pepper alcohol.

Aftertaste:

Burnt brown sugar, blackened fruit cake, clove and light black pepper spice.

Overall:

Rich and strong, this bready and fruity barley wine pack a 10.5% alc./vol. punch.
