This herb, spiced ale is brewed with Pale 2-row, Munich, Light Crystal and Flacked Barley malts as well as Centennial, US Golding and Sterling hops. Unusually this seasonal beer is also made with ginger.
Sampled on 18/09/2012
Clear (faint chill haze), coppery amber with a one finger thick which head which quickly dissipates to thick ring of foam and thin surface foam.
Suprisingly subtle malty nose with hops and ginger presenting as one unified aroma.
Ginger is very evident but this is beer first rather than ‘ginger beer’. Very slight sweet pale malts balance dry steely hops.
Lingering hop notes with faint ginger. A very adult ginger beer or perhaps that should be ‘beer ginger’.
