Brewed at the Schloss Eggenberg brewery, Hopfenkönig is a pils style beer with a mild flavour, fermented and matured for 12 weeks in the historic cellars of Eggenburg Pilsner.

Situated north of the Alps in Austria's Salzkammergut region, Eggenberg belonged to a Benedictine monastery and is one of Europe's oldest breweries with a history dating back to 1681. Since 1803, the Castle brewery has been in the hands of the Stöhr family and the seventh generation are now run the business.
