Released by Flying Dog brewery every winter this Imperial Coffee Stout is made using Smoked, Pilsner, Rye and Black malts as well as Northern Brewer and Goldings hops. The coffee mixture is a well-guarded secret that is made by their local Black Dog Coffee Company in Summit Point, West Virginia.

Appearance:

(best before 30-Nov-13). Opaque dark brown/black with thin beige head.

Aroma:

Heavily roasted coffee beans, espresso coffee and charcoal edges burnt toast.

Taste:

Malty, chocolaty black coffee with stewed coffee, wood tannin bitterness.

Aftertaste:

Very roasty, lingering slightly bitter burnt coffee.
