This revered English porter is brewed with hard water drawn from 85 feet deep well in copper mash-tuns using a yeast strain cultivated at the brewery since the beginning of the 1900s. Fuggles and Goldings hops are used. Taddy is available year round.

Appearance:

(best before Jul-13) Deep mahogany going on black, almost opaque with a beige head which dissipates to a halo and thin layer of foam.

Aroma:

Yeasty roast hazelnut and treacle with faint dark chocolate and coffee.

Taste:

Creamy mouth feel, heavily roasted nutty malts with mocha coffee, stewed fruit and faint smokiness.

Aftertaste:

Nutty, toasty roasted malt with faint mocha coffee note.
