Review and Tasting

Sampled on 01/02/2010

Appearance:

Dark brown/chestnut.

Aroma:

A complex, herbal nose with obvious gentian aromas.

Taste:

Bitter, herbal palate where gentian once again dominates with, sage, mint and lemon freshness.

Aftertaste:

Once accustomed to this liqueur’s rhubarb bitterness it turns slightly syrupy reinforcing how well balanced it is. Those who have an acquired taste for this style of liqueur will appreciate its quality.
