The familiar almond-rich taste of Disaronno amaretto blended with dairy cream. Best served over ice or in a cream cocktail. (Contains milk.)

The Disaronno Velvet Batida is made by shaking equal parts Disaronno Velvet and coconut water with ice and straining over crushed ice in a highball glass. It is garnished with either coconut flakes or a slice of coconut flesh.

Launched in the USA in March 2020.

Review and Tasting

Sampled on 25/04/2020

Appearance:

Opaque, off-white with faint pink-brown tint.

Aroma:

Pungent, cream and almond with faint apricot and vanilla.

Taste:

Well-balanced and not overly sweet with an attractive bitter almond spiritous bite. Creamy almond, vanilla and apricot.

Aftertaste:

Lingering bitter almond.

Overall:

For us intolerant folk, the only thing that's disappointing about this pleasantly creamy version of Disaronno's famous amaretto liqueur is that it contains lactose.
