Coco López Cream of Coconut is a non-alcoholic sticky goo made with coconut milk from coconuts harvested in the Dominican Republic, cane sugar, emulsifier, cellulose, thickeners, citric acid and salt and is sold in 15oz/425ml cans. No heat is used in the process.

Once opened the can's contents should be stored in a refrigerator: this may thicken the product, so gentle warming may be required prior to use.

Coco López' which was developed in 1948 in Puerto Rico by after receiving a development grant from the Puerto Rican government. Cream of coconut had previously been made but López-Irizarry mechanised the labour intensive process. Coco López is the original brand of cream of coconut.
