Marnier’s VSOP Cognac is a ‘Fine Champagne’, meaning it is blend of eaux-de-vie from Cognac’s Grande Champagne and Petite Champagne production areas. The eaux-de-vie are aged in French oak casks, where they acquire aromas and complexity from the wood. Finally, they are blended by Marnier’s Cellar..

Master at the Château de Bourg-Charente, in the heart of the Cognac region.

Appearance:

Clear, deep golden amber.

Aroma:

Scratched leather, fruitcake, dried apricot, prunes and toasty oak. Faint clove and rose blossom.

Taste:

Slight sweetness, honeycomb, prunes, blackened fruitcake and crème brûlée with mild cinnamon, clove and black pepper spice.

Aftertaste:

Honeycomb influences the long, lightly spiced fruity finish.

Overall:

A full-bodied, traditionally styled cognac with flavours of blackened fruitcake, honeycomb, crème brûlée and mild spice.
